Motor Guard

This electronic device is composed of a PTC thermistor and relay unit (power amplifier). This relay unit detects the temperature directly from the winding by means of a PTC thermistors embedded in the stator winding of each phase.

These thermistors protect the motor from overheating. Ordinary thermal overload relays are slow to detect irregular operations due to the changes in  load or open-phase running and this time lag can interfere with the effectiveness of the protective system. Kamsha Motor Guard has excellent thermal response characteristics and provide early detection and quick preventive action. They can be used for the protection of motor windings and temperature detection in the windings of a magnet coils, transformers, and the detection of overheat in cooler etc. Typical application include C ranges hoists, machine tools construction machinery vehicle motors, actuators and pumps.
